267 mph.
Ever since the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport hit the road, the title of fastest car in the world went with it. But now it appears that a certain Swedish supercar may have finally eclipsed that mark.
With six production records under its belt, including the 0-186-0 mph time of 21.9 seconds, the Koenigsegg Agera R is already considered the biggest threat to the Veyron Super Sport’s title and now that Koenigsegg has officially released the new Agera R, word is leaking that the car is capable of hitting 273 mph, six mph faster than the mighty Bugatti.
The number has yet to be verified, but if the Agera R is capable of breaking the 270-barrier, then we’re going to have a pretty interesting battle for fastest car supremacy on our hands.
The world is waiting for your figures, Koenigsegg. Let it be known that the 2013 Agera R can hit a top speed of 273 mph and you can claim the title of fastest car in the world. And in doing so, you better expect a reply from Bugatti very, very soon.
