Yamaha Press Release: Jorge Lorenzo Rides New Delhi F1 Track
A press release issued by Yamaha about Jorge Lorenzo's visit to the Budh International circuit near New Delhi:
What offseason? Tony Stewart assembles Chili Bowl champ team
Now this is just getting silly. Weeks after winning the Sprint Cup championship and then taking down Indy Car drivers at the Indy Carting Classic, Tony Stewart is mounting an assault to take down his third Golden Driller Trophy at the 26th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.
The festivities begin Jan. 10, and Stewart will be part of a four-man team that includes Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Bryan Clauson and Jake Blackhurst. All four are reigning champions in their various divisions and fields.
The Chili Bowl goes down at the QuikTrip Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Stewart hasn't raced there since 2008; that year, he finished 8th in the finals. But he's bringing the above ride, dubbed "Back in Black," to the race thanks to some sponsorship from Chevrolet Performance Parts. (We're thinking Stewart doesn't have to do a whole lot of begging for money right about now.)
For more info, check out ChiliBowl.com. And if you go, by all means, reach out to us here. We want photos. Cotton candy. Souvenirs. Perhaps even some chili.

Look back at the 2011 seasons of Harvick and Kenseth
We're only a few weeks away from the start of the 2012 season, so we need to wrap up 2011 pronto. Let's take a last look back at some of the best of the bunch from last year.
First up, Matt Kenseth, who looked like a legitimate championship contender until some unfortunate run-ins with Brian Vickers:
Next up, Kevin Harvick, who once again finished third. If second is bridesmaid, what's third? Ringbearer? Flower girl? I'm going with flower girl. Ladies and gentlemen, Kevin "Flower Girl" Harvick:
Your thoughts on these two fine gentlemen? And no guesses as to who's left to cover.

How do you rank the drivers in Hendrick equipment in 2012?
We've already seen what could happen if Kurt Busch showed up at the Hendrick Christmas party, and his arrival to the Hendrick equipment stable raises an interesting question: Where would he rank among the drivers in Hendrick stuff in 2012?
The immediate reaction is to say that the lineup of drivers in Hendrick supplies is "the best ever," but this era of widespread equipment purchasing is still something fairly new in the Sprint Cup Series. "Incomparable" is probably a better word.
Eight drivers will be in Hendrick equipment next year -- seven full-time -- and the addition of Busch means that the three drivers who have won Chase championships will be in Hendrick built cars in 2012.
Yes, you read that correctly. Matt Kenseth is the last champion who won't be in Hendrick equipment when the calendar flips.
With the addition of Busch to Phoenix Racing, drivers in Hendrick equipment have 13 titles and an even more staggering 253 wins. 253! Of the seven full-time drivers, Kasey Kahne has the fewest number of wins. And he has 12.
Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports): 85 wins, 4 championships
Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports): 55 wins, 5 championships
Tony Stewart (Stewart-Haas Racing): 44 wins, 3 championships
Kurt Busch (Phoenix Racing): 24 wins, 1 championship
Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Hendrick Motorsports): 18 wins
Ryan Newman (Stewart-Haas Racing): 15 wins
Kasey Kahne (Hendrick Motorsports): 12 wins
So, how would you rank them? Does Johnson's achievements in his shorter career trump Gordon's number of wins? Is Stewart's success in many different types of cars more impressive?
A different question may be more intriguing: Who would you consider to be the "worst" driver in the Hendrick supplied lineup? Of course that's not a diss, but rather a complement to the entire lineup. It'd be like picking the worst-looking Victoria's Secret or Sports Illustrated model. Personal preference may have more of an influence than any arbitrary factors, and at the end of the day, you're still picking from the top .0001 percent.
Ponder the thought as you sit by the fire and sip on your egg nog and drop us a line below.
Lexus LF-Lc
Posted on 01.10.2012 08:00 by Simona |
After seeing tons of teaser images in the past few weeks, we are finally able to get a good look at the new Lexus LF-LC concept during its world debut at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. The concept was designed by Lexus Calty design studio in Newport Beach, California and previews the future design language of Toyota’s luxury arm, bringing in elements from the LF-A supercar and the recently launched GS 350.
The concept features a bold interpretation of the signature Lexus spindle grille and rear architecture and is defined by a long engine hood, daytime running lights shaped like an "L", a 3D spindle grille, and functional air intakes in the bottom corners of the grille.
"Crafted from a clean sheet of paper at the request of Lexus headquarters in Japan, the LF-LC blends both high technology and organic shapes to connect the driver to the machine," said Mark Templin, Lexus group vice president and general manager. "The clean lines of the vehicle emphasize motion, creating a distinctive look for this futuristic sport coupe."
UPDATE 01/09/12: This review has been updated with the official images and specs for the Lexus LF-Lc.

Look back at the 2011 seasons of Kahne, Dinger and Biffle
As the 2012 season nears, one last look back at the year that was for your favorite drivers. We continue on with several of the non-Chase competitors.
First up, Kasey Kahne, the guy who came on very strong at the end of the season. 2012 is going to be a good year for him, we can feel it.
Next up, AJ Allmendinger, another guy who ended 2012 in a lot better position than he started:
Finally, Greg Biffle, who continues to get close but not close enough:
