Nationwide Craziest Moment: Max Papis slaps Billy Johnson?s helmet

Earlier in the year at Richmond, we saw Nelson Piquet Jr. kick Brian Scott below the belt. Saturday at Road America, we saw Max Papis slap Billy Johnson before Johnson had a chance to take off his helmet.

What's next?

Papis was unhappy with Johnson from contact during the late stages of the race. During the cool-down lap, he shook his fist at Johnson and motioned with his index finger as to gesture toward the Roush Fenway driver to "come here."

The two ended up parked near each other on pit road and after Papis shook hands with Johnson's teammate Travis Pastrana, he approached Johnson for the quick slap before returning after Johnson had removed his helmet for a few more words.

The two drivers were certainly not the only ones mad at each other for late race contact -- the final laps of the race turned into a dramatic game of fender tag as drivers rooted and gouged their way to the finish line. That contact and unpredictability is one of the reasons that road course races have become some of the most entertaining in NASCAR.

Drag racin? yoga instructor takes car for a full spin, keeps right on rolling

Yoga teaches you to calm your mind, to let go of your worldly concerns and troubles and embrace the infinite. It also gives you some amazing reflexes behind the wheel, apparently.

Meet Amy Taub, a yoga instructor who drag races in her spare time for her family's team, T&F Racing. While at full throttle, Amy had quite the spin at Atco Dragway in New Jersey, but managed to wheel her way right out of the skid. Not a bad move at 140 miles per hour.

You can see the full video from the spin and her run right here. Best part of that video is the thumbs-up she shoots the ambulance that had come racing out onto the track, sirens flaring, to rescue her from what everyone assumed would be a vicious crack-up.

We'd tell you not to try this at home, but we don't think you could even get close to that.

Gibbs Ultimately Owns This Penalty

Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket? If the answer’s yes, did you try telling the officer, ‘that wasn’t my intent’? Or maybe you were just a MPH or two over the limit, did you try telling him, ‘I wasn’t speeding that much’? When he got done laughing at you, did he still write you [...]

2013 Assen MotoGP FP4 Result: Marquez Leads Final Practice

The final MotoGP practice session for the Dutch TT at Assen was greeted by heavy clouds and cool track temperatures, but thankfully the rain stayed away. This gave the premier class chargers a chance to to work on and refine their race packages. After his big crash in the morning's earlier session a battered and bruised Marc Marquez, riding with a broken finger and toe, lead the time sheets. He finished three hundredths of a second ahead of Valentino Rossi in second while fellow Yamaha rider Cal Crutchlow was a further tenth behind.

The Honda trio of Stefan Bradl, Dani Pedrosa and Alvaro Bautista ended up in fourth, fifth and sixth places respectively as Randy DePuniet put in a stellar performance aboard his Aprilia to finish in seventh and top CRT rider. The Frenchman will be in with a good shout to go through in QP1 later today.

Vespa GTS 300 IE

The Vespa GTS 300 IE is a retro scooter packed with more than enough power to reward its rider with a pretty thrilling riding experience.

In terms of style, we especially like the decisive lines of the cowls, the round and sloping front headlight, the short windscreen and the big front fender.

The Vespa GTS 300 IE features a monocoque body, made entirely from steel that gives it improved handling abilities and a better rigidity.

Once on board you are met by a comfortable saddle which together with the ergonomically designed handlebar gives you a fairly relaxed riding position.

The scooter is powered by a single-cylinder, catalysed, 4-stroke, 4-valves QUASAR engine with electronic injection. The engine has a capacity of 278 cc and delivers a maximum output of 15,8 kW at 7.500 rpm (21.1 hp) and 22,3 Nm at 5.250 rpm (16.4 ft-lb).

Hit the jump for more information on the Vespa GTS 300 IE.

Honda vs Yamaha: Cal Crutchlow Helps Explain Why The First Corner Decides The Race

Jorge Lorenzo has won the last two MotoGP rounds in utterly dominating style. Though his win at Mugello was by a greater margin, the victory at Barcelona was one of the most impressive of his career. Afterwards, both Lorenzo's team manager Wilco Zeelenberg and Monster Tech 3 rider Cal Crutchlow said of the Barcelona win that it was probably one of the best races he had ever ridden. Lorenzo had made only one mistake, the Spaniard said afterwards, and it was so small it did not even show up on the data.

As he had done at Mugello, Lorenzo ensured that he won the drag race to the first corner, aggressively outbraking Dani Pedrosa to take the lead. From that point, he held the Hondas at bay until Dani Pedrosa finally broke, the Yamaha man going on to win by nearly two seconds. It was the second race in a row which Lorenzo had led from the start and gone on to win the race. In fact, all three of Lorenzo's wins, at Qatar, Mugello and Barcelona, have come in the same manner: Get into the first corner in the lead, push hard in the early laps, and ride as perfectly and as fast as possible throughout the entire race. There is simply no one else in the world capable of riding a motorcycle for 25 laps at full speed as well as Jorge Lorenzo at the moment.

A great non-event?

The FIA has announced that Mercedes and Pirelli have been reprimanded by the FIA International Tribunal, bringing to an end a period of at times near- hysterical coverage of a tyre test between the Spanish and Monaco GPs, often egged on by rival teams. The Tribunal decided that Mercedes should be reprimanded and be suspended […]
